Rebecca St. James Supports Heartbeat International

News 19 May 10 By

Rebecca St. James will lend her voice of support this week to join the work of Heartbeat International in sharing a message of hope with the pregnancy help ministries nationally and internationally who are ‘boots on the ground’ in the work of life affirming.

“Better Together” is the message of the 2010 Heartbeat International Conference being held in Orlando May 18-20th.  It’s their 39th annual conference gathering and is attracting an expected attendance this year of 700 pregnancy support providers from 17 countries.
The Orlando conclave is designed for ministry leaders, staff, board members, and volunteers of life-affirming pregnancy help centers, medical clinics, maternity homes and non-profit adoption agencies, as well as medical, counseling, social work and education professionals working with the crisis pregnancy agenda. Heartbeat International President, Peggy Hartshorn, notes that the organization is this year on target to host pro-life community leaders from every inhabited continent.
On Wednesday (19th) Rebecca will be on hand at the event to share a special screening of her pro life message film, “Sarah’s Choice”as well as address her personal voice of support for the work of Heartbeat International—a work that includes ‘Heartbeat’s Babies Go To Congress,’ a strategy where women who are grateful for their personal experiences with ‘choosing life’ get to share their stories with elected officials in Washington.
Through her research for and filming of “Sarah’s Choice,” in 2009, St. James has become a fervent national voice for the pro life movement.   In the midst this year of a series of special screenings with Crisis Pregnancy Centers nationwide, word is reaching St. James on an almost daily basis of young women who are opting for ‘life’ after viewing the film
In addition to media support, her 2010 concert schedule has increased to include a series of special appearances where her music and message are beamed in support of those working in the day-to-day mission field of crisis pregnancy ministries. “These are the real heroes of our time,” she noted in a recent interview. “Every day, 3,300 women wake up believing there is no hope, and they tragically end their pregnancies.  But there is hope through the compassionate network of pregnancy centers who are every day empowering women to choose life through their expression of practical support and Godly love.”
Other speakers set to join Rebecca in Orlando include Pam Tebow, mother of celebrated Heisman Trophy winning football superstar, Tim Tebow, and Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, who will be featured in a special inter-active interview session.
