Today, HM is proud to offer an exclusive look Los Angeles rock trio Fencer’s video “Bad Bet.” The fan-favorite ballad comes from their recently released self-titled debut album.
We spoke with vocalist and guitarist Field Cate about the video:
“We’re finally able to share the ‘Bad Bet’ music video. This is the most meaningful song on the album for me. I was in a bad place writing this, a super dark time in my life. This song was a bright light for me during that time and it was really important for the video to capture what my vision was when originally working on the song. It did a lot for me so I hope maybe somebody else can relate and have it do something for them.”
Mixed by Henry Lunetta (5 Seconds Of Summer, State Champs, Grayscale) and mastered by Zach Fisher (Weezer, Rancid, Bad Religion), Fencer’s new record is composed of 10 completely self-produced tracks and has racked up over 2 million listens across all streaming platforms.
If that’s any indication of what’s ahead, it’s safe to say that Fencer’s future is looking bright.
The ‘Bad Bet’ video will be available everywhere tomorrow, February 28.
