Dayseeker has announced the upcoming digital deluxe version of their fourth studio album, Sleeptalk. Since its release nearly two years ago, the record has accumulated over 40 million streams and proven Dayseeker to be one of the most versatile and formidable forces in the scene.
The band has also released a fresh arrangement and music video for “Burial Plot,” one of four reimagined tracks on the record, along with fan favorites “Drunk,” “Crooked Soul,” and “Sleeptalk.” Produced by Daniel Braunstein, the haunting new version of “Burial Plot” features a cameo by a local Los Angeles artist and showcases the band’s extensive sonic portfolio.
Frontman Rory Rodriguez shares more about the reimagined track:
“‘Burial Plot (Reimagined)’ is a deeply personal song I hold very near to my heart and I always thought it would be really intereseting to hear it done as a duet. Seneca Pettee was the obvious choice since she already sang on ‘Starving to Be Empty’ on the original album. The strings and piano we added really made it just sound like an entirely different song.”
The deluxe edition of Sleeptalk will be released September 24 and is now available for pre-order. Dayseeker will also return to the road this fall, touring with We Came as Romans and The Devil Wears Prada.
