Today, HM is proud to premiere the lead track from Decades In self-titled release, “Buried Under.” The song comes from the band’s debut self-titled album, which dropped on June 26. Formed in 2003, the band began playing live together in 2007, releasing their first demo in 2009. They endured a tragic bus accident in the middle of 2012, and, as vocalist Daniel Song told us, it is sometimes in the tragedies where new birth begins. We spoke with Song about the meaning of the song:
“‘Buried Under’ is about making sacrifices even in the face of death. When I wrote these lyrics, I reflected on The Ghost Inside and their tragic bus accident. Those guys are following their dreams despite a life-threatening incident such as theirs. It did not stop them from achieving what they set out to do.”
Formerly known as Dennis is Dead, the Union City-based quartet recently hit the road with With Wolves on a West coast tour, and will be playing Prescott, AZ tonight. If you dig the track, you can grab the self-titled album from iTunes.
