TobyMac Caps Off Career Year

EYE ON IT hailed by iTunes® and Rhapsody as Top Album of 2012;
Chart-topper dubbed “Christian Artist of 2012” by Amazon

Five-time GRAMMY® winner TobyMac is capping off his whirlwind year with a performance on ABC’s 29th annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. The newly GRAMMY® nominated artist will perform his Christmas song “Christmas This Year” while being featured along with performers including GRAMMY® Award-winning trio Lady Antebellum, international superstars Backstreet Boys, soulful pop songstress Colbie Caillat, CMA Award winner Brad Paisley and American Idol Season 11 champion Phillip Phillips. Hosts Nick Cannon and Mario Lopez, along with co-host Maria Menounos, will lead the two-hour telecast, which is scheduled to air on ABC on Christmas Day beginning at 9:00 AM CST (check local listings).

TobyMac has had quite the year with his latest album, EYE ON IT, debuting at the top of both the Billboard Top 200 charts and iTunes® overall album charts, in addition to garnering his first career American Music Award. He recently celebrated the news of his eighth solo-career GRAMMY® nomination for the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. TobyMac was hailed by Amazon as the “Christian Artist of 2012” and his album EYE ON IT was recently named by iTunes® as the “Best Christian Gospel Album of the Year” and “Top Christian Album of 2012” by Rhapsody.

This year alone TobyMac has garnered features and praises from media with Billboard, Los Angeles Times, People Magazine and Time.com, among others. Additionally, he has made multiple national television appearances in 2012, which include Fox & Friends, Good Morning America and The View. He has headlined sold-out shows this fall on his EYE ON IT and HITS DEEP tours. Beginning in January 2013, TobyMac will headline the Winter Jam East Coast Tour.
