THE ROYAL ROYAL TO RELEASE LABEL DEBUT, THE ROYALTY, OCTOBER 16 ON THE PARADIGM COLLECTIVE/PROVIDENT/ESSENTIAL WORSHIP
KICKING OFF FALL TOUR SEPTEMBER 20 WITH PHIL WICKHAM
he Paradigm Collective/Provident/Essential Worship announces the full-length label debut, The Royalty, from duo The Royal Royal on October 16. These two brothers are bringing a new generation of worship to their listeners, which can be heard this fall on the Phil Wickham tour beginning this week on September 20. In addition to the tour, The Royal Royal will be performing at The Story Conference in Chicago, Catalyst in Atlanta and the National Worship Leader Conference in Orange County.
“Our God is a God of new and old: He takes old things and makes them as new. The sun is old, and yet each day it is new,” explain the Finochio brothers that make up The Royal Royal. “As humans, that’s what we need: to see old truths as though they are new. That is the heart of romance–hanging the familiar truth from a different angle so as to fall in love with it again and again. He makes all things new. And on our debut there are some new songs, new sounds, new angles and new expression towards the Lord that are simply old Word that have become flesh in us.”
Hailing from Ontario, Canada, brothers Nathan and Gabriel Finochio joined musical forces to write songs, lead worship and deliver lyrics that breathe new life through ancient truths. In the duo’s first full-length album, The Royalty, The Royal Royal aim to connect new sounds to an unparalleled honesty throughout each song. This debut features 14 stunning new tracks along with four acoustic songs (song listing below).
“We desire that a new generation hear of the faithfulness of our God in their generation; that is our mandate and that is our heart. We pray you are encouraged in your spirit and stirred up in your most holy faith as you listen and worship with us.”
Growing up as pastor’s kids, the Finochio brothers were greatly influenced by their father’s love of music. Developing a heart for modern congregational worship, The Royal Royal also credit James Taylor, Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder as musical inspirations. The Royal Royal has been building their fanbase since last summer as they played tour support for John Mark McMillan and Hillsong UNITED as well as most recently performing at the National Worship Leader Conference in Kansas City.
The Royal Royal digitally debuted their EP
Royal on May 15, 2012 and hit No. 1 on the iTunes Christian US and Canada Charts.
Royal’s “Praise Him,” is also the first single off of
The Royalty, which released to AC/CHR radio in June. This compelling worship song has already been incorporated in church services nationwide. This album will be released through a special partnership with their label, The Paradigm Collective, and Provident / Essential Worship.

“We are so proud to have The Royal Royal and The Paradigm Collective in the Provident family,” shares Bryan M. Ward, VP, Marketing Provident Label Group. “There is a new worship expression that is burgeoning among college and young adult worshippers where there is a respect for the traditions of the church, yet a longing for taking those traditions and truths into a new musical expression that is very personal and at times raw and vulnerable. The Royal Royal understands this and has been quickly embraced by this community. We are excited to partner with them and The Paradigm Collective to bring their music to the world.”
