Ferret Music recording group The Devil Wears Prada have unveiled the first glimpse of their upcoming live CD/DVD. “Vengeance” will have its world premiere today on FEARnet TV, slated to air at 2 pm ET/11 am PT, while simultaneously debuting online via the popular cable channel’s official website, located at www.fearnet.com/news/b25636_exclusive_devil_wears_prada_premiere.html. The as-yet-untitled CD/DVD will arrive in stores everywhere on June 26th.
“Vengeance” was filmed last December at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts during the first leg of The Devil Wears Prada’s ongoing “Dead Throne” tour. A new series of shows will kick off tomorrow, March 9th, at The Castle Theatre in Bloomington, Illinois, with dates continuing through early April (see attached itinerary). Support on all dates comes from Every Time I Die, Letlive., and Oh, Sleeper.
The Devil Wears Prada will then head down to Latin America for a headline tour alongside fellow metalcore heroes, Whitechapel, with stops slated for Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, and Mexico. The band is then slated to spend its summer as one of the main stage headliners traveling the US with the all-star Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, set to get underway June 30th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. Tickets to the much-anticipated festival tour – which also features Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, and the one and only Motörhead – will go on sale on April 6th. “DEAD THRONE” made a spectacular chart debut upon its September 2011 release, entering Billboard’s “Top Independent Albums” ranking at #1 while also hitting the top 10 on the overall Billboard 200. The album – The Devil Wears Prada’s fourth full-length release – received universal critical applause, with the ever-influential Kerrang! hailing its “dramatic dynamic shifts and a defter blend of melody and muscle, making this by far the best album the Ohio outfit have yet produced.” In its 9-out-of-10 rave, AbsolutePunk.net praised “DEAD THRONE” for possessing “a sense of urgency and maturity here that few in the genre will be able to replicate” before officially declaring it to be “the best metalcore album of the year”.
The Devil Wears Prada next unleashed “Zombie Slay,” a first-person, multi-level action game available for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android mobile devices. The game – which is currently on sale for $.99 and available for download via the iTunes Store and Google Play – followed upon the band’s acclaimed 2010 “ZOMBIE” EP and its accompanying limited-edition comic book, Zombie, The Comic!
“Zombie Slay” challenges gamers to survive and save survivors in a post-apocalyptic world by killing as many zombies as possible. The game – which includes all five tracks from the “ZOMBIE” EP – offers a range of difficulty levels, realistic city and suburban locations, a variety of zombies to eradicate, gamer achievement levels and a cache of weapons that can be upgraded with accumulated points on all levels. For complete information, please see www.zombieslay.com.
The Devil Wears Prada is: Mike Hranica – vocals * Chris Rubey – lead guitar * Jeremy DePoyster – rhythm guitar, vocals * Andy Trick – bass * Daniel Williams – drums.
