California-based metalcore giants Silent Planet continue their steady stream of new releases with “Anhedonia,” off their upcoming record, Iridescent, due to release November 12.
Titled after the clinical inability to feel pleasure or joy, the band’s latest release is a continuation of vocalist Garrett Russell’s vulnerable experience with mental health. It follows singles “Panopticon,” “Trilogy,” and “Terminal,” and leaves the same metallic taste in your mouth, with urgent drum grooves, frantic riffs, and bellowing vocals.
Lost inside a fever dream; set fire to the forgery.
I’m blotting out the fiction.
The past is soaked in kerosene. Let it burn.
I’m blotting out the fiction.
Iridescent is now available for pre-order.
