The Goodnight Horizon News
The Goodnight Horizon is from the New England area and have been going at it for almost 3 years now. The band has brutal break downs and is founded on hardcore music. However the bands approach is not that of a “tough one”. They state, “We don’t want to look mean and tough in our photos anymore, because that’s not really who we are. We are four happy guys that enjoy making music in our style of the scene”. The bands new EP has just released on New Line Music and has 5 brutal songs to catch the world.

Living Sacrifice Returns With The Infinite Order
Legendary Christian metal band Living Sacrifice have set The Infinite Order as the title of their brand new album, their first since reforming in 2008 and seventh studio album overall. “This new record came together great. I could not be more pleased with the final mixes that Andy Sneap has done. We dug deep into our thrash roots on this one, I think. The album title refers to God and the universe. Man is finite and limited, our knowledge is limited. Wrestling with the concept of infinity is difficult, but there is true peace in trusting in God.” Says Bruce Fitzhugh, Living Sacrifice’s front man. The Infinite Order was produced in Nashville, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas by the band’s longtime friend Jeremiah Scott (The Showdown, Destroy Destroy Destroy). Mixing duties are once again being handled by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Machine Head, As I Lay Dying), who mixed the band’s last album, 2003’s Conceived in Fire. Living Sacrifice’s influence runs deep throughout the scene. Former and current members of Living Sacrifice went on to play in bands such as Evanescence, P.O.D. and Norma Jean. Living Sacrifice broke up in 2002 but returned to the metal community with a vengeance in 2008, self-releasing the two song Death Machine digital-only EP. The Infinite Order announces the return of Living Sacrifice with might and majesty. Powerful, forthright, thrashy and skillfully executed as ever, the album serves as an unapologetic reminder as to exactly why so many of today’s heavy music leaders in bands big and small hold Living Sacrifice and their legacy in such high-esteem
Cover illustrations will be handled by Dave Quiggle, with packaging by the Solid State / Tooth & Nail team. Living Sacrifice toured as part of Demon Hunter’s “Stronger Than Hell Tour” last summer, followed by Liskfest in Orange County alongside Bleeding Through, Death By Stereo, The Cro-Mags and Gorilla Biscuits. This year, they returned to Cornerstone in Illinois and several other festivals and club dates around the country. Living Sacrifice’s storied career stretches back to 1989. Bruce Fitzhugh (vocals / guitar) and Lance Garvin (drums) remain from the band’s earliest lineup. Rocky Gray (guitar), also known as the drummer for We Are The Fallen and the former drummer for Evanescence, and Arthur Gray (bass) joined for 2000’s The Hammering Process.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Premiere New Video
Virgin Records platinum-plus rockers THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS will partner with Hot Topic’s Shockhound.com to premiere their new video for single “Pen & Paper” off their sophomore album LONELY ROAD, which debuted this year at #14 on Billboards Top 200 chart. The 48 hour exclusive premiere will begin on August 17 at Shockhound.com. The video was produced and directed by former Chicago agency producers, Nathan Brown (producer) and Chris Folkens (director). RJA asked the duo to work on their new video after seeing the Telly Award-winning music video trilogy Folkens directed for Chicago-based band The Lifetime. RJA decided to shoot the video for Pen & Paper in their hometown of Middleburg, Florida at frontman, Ronnie Winter’s home this past June before hitting the road for their summer tour. Pen & Paper is about removing all the fake people from their lives. The video features RJA and their hometown friends getting rid of those individuals in a creative way while getting some aggression. Brown and Folkens have plans to shoot RJA’s next music video in Chicago. They are also working with the band on a branded integrated experience that partners RJA with a brand name, creating an online interactive experience involving fans in a music video like never before. LONELY ROAD was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry, Less Than Jake, Hoobastank, P.O.D., All-American Rejects, Seether) has already been praised for its “million-dollar hooks,” “flat-out perfection,” and “bold, fearless vocals” (Alternative Press). RJA’s Virgin Records debut, DON’T YOU FAKE IT, debuted in August 2006 at No. 25 on the Billboard Top 200, and ended its 62-week album chart run in October 2007. The release included hit singles Face Down & Your Guardian Angel, which overwhelming demand turned into a sales phenomenon and has since added to their over 56 million plays on MySpace (Face Down over 24 million & Your Guardian Angel reaching over 26 million).

Brooke Waggoner Announces New Album
Brooke Waggoner returns on November 3rd with her second full-length album titled Go Easy Little Doves. All twelve songs on the album were not only written and composed by Waggoner, as with her previous releases, but Go Easy Little Doves was entirely self-produced. With Go Easy Little Doves, Waggoner expands and surrounds her sound with lush orchestration, moving melodies and introspective lyrics. Waggoner’s new album begins with two instrumental songs “Query” and “Ruminate” which beautifully fade into the title track “Go Easy Little Doves, I’ll Be Fine.” The album plays more like a symphony rather than a standard pop release. Songs such as “Chromates Soft Love” and “Find Her Floods” reveal dynamics that could be suitably described as cinematic. Waggoner describes the process of writing the material for the album and inspiration by commenting, “This is a collection of music I’ve wanted to record correctly for a very long time. Some of the songs were written over ten years ago. And some were written the night before I was scheduled to record. The project is full of Q&A, pensiveness, elasticity, and romance. It truly follows my story from beginning to its current state. This is the one I’ve always dreamt of making.” Go Easy Little Doves is the follow up to Waggoner’s critically acclaimed debut Heal For The Honey. Independently released on Swoon Moon Music in September of 2008, Brooke Waggoner’s Heal For The Honey received mass critical acclaim and coverage, including the New York Times’ description of it as “… an eclectic, 10-track album that favors a serene voice quietly singing about the tribulations of love against a backdrop of classical piano crescendos.” Paste Magazine wrote, “In a music world overpopulated with acoustic guitars, warbling voices and tinkling piano keys, Brooke Waggoner and her cache of mesmerizing tunes stand out.” Brooke Waggoner has a full run of tour dates starting in Chapel Hill, NC on September 1st with Denison Witmer. Following the conclusion of that tour, Waggoner will join Owl City on the road beginning October 8th in Des Moines, Iowa.

Abandon To Release ‘Searchlights’ August 25th
San Antonio rock act Abandon will release its first full-length disc, Searchlights, to retail outlets nationwide Aug. 25, 2009. In support of the project, Abandon will open for Flicker Records act Fireflight this fall on “The Hope Tour.” Abandon made its label debut last July with the release of a self-titled digital EP, which received rave reviews from critics who called it “catchy” (ChristianityToday.com), “a tasty morsel of what is to come” (jesusfreakhideout.com), and hailed the band for being “at the forefront of the current music industry” (indievisionmusic.com). The EP additionally produced two No. 1 Rock radio singles with “Hold On” and “Providence.” In April 2009, Abandon released the EP on disc, while giving fans a taste of six new cuts available via digital outlets only. Searchlights combines the best tracks released by Abandon over the last year plus three never-before-recorded songs, “Confession,” “Here We Are Now” and “Safe In Your Arms.” “Thematically, Searchlights is a promise of rescue from a dangerous place, that if you look up, you will see the light of hope through the dark,” says Abandon’s Josh Engler. “Sonically interesting and energetic with passionate lyrics, we hope fans find what they’re searching for with this record.” Abandon will debut Searchlights live on the road with Fireflight beginning Oct. 1. Joined by Word Records artist Remedy Drive, “The Hope Tour” will visit major markets including Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix and San Antonio. For a complete list of tour dates, visit www.fireflightrock.com. Music from Searchlights can also be heard via Christian radio, with “Be Alive In Me” currently working its way up the Radio & Records Rock chart and “Safe In Your Arms” set to add at CHR radio Aug. 21. With a sound that has been likened to popular bands U2 and The Killers, Abandon comprises brothers Josh Engler (vocals) and Justin Engler (rhythm guitars), cousins Dave Vela (drums) and Stevan Vela (lead guitar) as well as Bryan Fowler (bass). They formed as part of their church’s worship band, eventually moving on to play local shows. The group came into relationship with Forefront Records after Director of A&R Chris York heard them perform at a Nashville club.
