August Burns Red Debut New Video
Metal crusaders August Burns Red have debut the video for “White Washed,” the next single from the band’s celebrated album Constellations, on the homepage of MySpace. Shot in Philadelphia near the band’s home turf of Lancaster, PA, the video captures the chaotic energy of an August Burns Red live show – a fitting move for a song that has quickly become a live favorite for fans. “The video doesn’t have a concept, per se, and maybe because of that ended up being one of my favorite ABR videos,” says guitarist JB Brubaker. “We simply shot a performance video in a completely white studio space with lots of washed out shots. Get it? White Washed? It was a grueling day of shooting, but now that we’ve seen the end result, it was more than worth the effort.” The “White Washed” video’s release comes at the front end of a busy summer for the famously hardworking August Burns Red, whose packed schedule includes the recording of a live CD/DVD, the band’s first tours of Japan and South America, and a headlining tour of Europe, not to mention the summer festival circuit. Live dates below. Constellations, the band’s 3rd album, has been a critical success in the metal world, helping 8/BURNS RED to not only become one of the forerunners in the current metal scene, but also break out and reach newer fanbases. The album has sold in excess of 75,000 copies and has been lauded by taste making publications such as Revolver, AP, Outburn and more, further solidifying ABR’s stature.

Runaway City To Release Debut Album
Vertusent Records readies the release of Armored Heart, the debut album from North Carolina natives Runaway City, on June 22, 2010. Runaway City is Vertusent’s flagship artist and the newly formed label’s first artist release. Produced by Jason Elgin (Collective Soul, Terrible Things) at Synchromesh Studios in Birmingham, Ala., Runaway City shines on its debut recording. From huge rock songs with massive anthems and choruses to beautifully melodic rock ballads, the band has crafted an album full of high quality, fully realized compositions, a true rarity in this day of flavor of the month songs. “It was evident upon meeting Runaway City that the band is genuinely committed to its music and ministry… these guys take great pride in what they do,” says Vertusent Records President Derek Graham. “The heartfelt meaning and integrity that comes across in Runaway City’s music make this band a perfect fit for Vertusent’s long-term vision and development.” The first single “Fade,” now available on iTunes, is currently impacting Christian Rock radio, climbing to No. 39 New & Active this week on the Billboard Christian Rock chart. With its anthemic chorus – All the world could fade away / You’re the only one I’d miss if you were gone / I just can’t believe you don’t see what I see in you – is both uplifting and poignant, which is what the band is all about. Runaway City guitarist Tyler Ricketts comments, “We want Runaway City to be a safe haven for people. Whether it be from a lyric or something said from stage, we want to offer listeners a chance to escape all the things going on in their lives. We hope to give them a glimpse of hope, if only for a moment, to help them carry on with their day to day.” And the name Runaway City illustrates that sentiment. In ancient Israel, those who committed serious crimes were forced to flee to one of six cities for refuge while awaiting a fair trial. The band explains, “By calling ourselves Runaway City, we want to be that refuge for our listeners, even if it is for just a 3-minute song.” Runaway City formed in a small town called Mount Airy, NC, which is the actual television home of “The Andy Griffith Show,” aka Mayberry, USA. The quintet is made up of Tyler Ricketts (Guitar/Backup Vocals), Chris Burrow (Drums), Josh Edwards (Vocals), Jace Bowman (Lead Guitar), and Jon Thompson (Bass Guitar). Summer tour dates will be announced soon.

Having last soaked up the sun in Lima, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo with MxPx, Herrera is excited to return and perform his musical best for the rest of South America, in countries like Costa Rica, Columbia, and Argentina. “This trip is long overdue,” said Herrera, “and I can’t wait to share some new material with my South American friends and fans.” Beneath all the tattoos and piercings, the ranting and stage wrecking, Herrera is an accomplished and acclaimed songwriter, and along with his tour-mate Jose Garzon of FeelsLikeFriday, he promises that this South American tour will offer nothing but his best.

New Hillsong Album
With more than 11-million albums sold worldwide, Hillsong LIVE returns with 12 new songs for its 19th recording, A Beautiful Exchange, set to release June 29 on Sparrow Records. Recorded live Nov. 8 along with thousands of worshippers gathered together in the Sydney Entertainment Centre and led by worship leaders Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston, Darlene Zschech and Jad Gillies, among others, the resulting collective expression of worship launches a series of firsts for Hillsong LIVE. A Beautiful Exchange will be the first release of brand new songs in the alliance announced last month with EMI Christian Music Group, and it launches amidst the group’s first radio single from the album and first ever U.S. tour. Each year Hillsong records songs from its worship community around the world that have resonated with the church throughout the year. Featuring these songs organically crafted in the creative environment at Hillsong Church, one of the world’s fastest-growing evangelical ministries, Hillsong LIVE’s A Beautiful Exchange includes “Forever Reign,” the first radio single to be released from the album. Known for such worldwide worship anthems as “Shout To The Lord,” “Mighty To Save,” “My Hope,” “From the Inside Out,” “Hosanna” and many more, “Forever Reign” is a message of hope written by Hillsong LIVE’s Reuben Morgan along with Jason Ingram. “So often I feel like I come to God, and I’ve got nothing,” says Morgan, “but when I feel like there is no good in me, no joy in me, no peace – He is peace, He is joy, He is our salvation. I love that confession. I love singing the chorus of this song with both hands raised: Running to Your arms, the riches of Your love will always be enough. It’s been humbling to see how the church has taken ahold of this song.” In addition to the confession of “Forever Reign,” A Beautiful Exchange explores themes of sacrifice and redemption in the title track, extraordinary love in “Our God Is Love,” and features songs of hope, reconciliation and praise. “The church didn’t want to stop singing, everyone was worshipping with all their hearts,” says Autumn Hardman, Hillsong LIVE Music Director, about the night A Beautiful Exchange was recorded. “Every song carried a sense of freshness right from the start, and even in the studio sessions weeks out, we could feel the excitement about this year’s recording. Everyone brought their ideas, keyboard sounds, guitar lines, drum grooves, and stayed late into the night many nights working out the songs and arrangements.” “This is Hillsong Church coming together from all over Sydney to celebrate, to pray, to seek God,” says Reuben Morgan. “We just press record. This is not about an album. This is really about a church, a family truly seeking God together…A Beautiful Exchange is a picture of that.”

Facedown Presents: Your Memorial
Facedown Records are proud to announce to newest member of their family, Your Memorial. Your Memorial came to Facedown Records from the Twin Cities of Minnesota bearing their self released debut album Seasons, and sporting an impressive touring history. Growing up in the shadow of such hometown bands as Martyr A.D., Nehemiah, and After the Burial, Your Memorial recognized the advantage of following the path blazed by the genre patriarchs and seized the opportunity, as well as the inspiration to make their own indelible mark on the genre. Your Memorial does just that with their brand of progressive crushing rhythms that meld into ambient swells of melody. Although their influences span multiple genres, their impassioned laser-focus is what makes Your Memorial a stand-out metal act. Guitarist Willy Weigel gives a peek behind the curtain of the writing process. “Coming into writing the new album we had one main goal in mind, to write songs with more interesting structure and flow while still creating a dynamic listening experience. We feel like these songs couldn’t achieve that goal any better and we’re really excited to get into the studio to record.” Your Memorial will be releasing their debut Facedown album in the winter of 2010.
