The Great Transparency Battle Poverty
The Great Transparency (Razzbarry Records) is helping end extreme poverty by partnering with Mission of Mercy. Through their child sponsorship program, for less than the cost of a daily cup of coffee is all it takes to equip children in developing nations to reach their God-given potential, by creating opportunities for spiritual, physical, social, mental and emotional development. “We believe that solving the problems of chronic poverty and underdevelopment in the world are major long-term keys to peace and safety in our world and with a deep belief that God loves every human being,” says TGT. front man Jeremiah Wagner. According to Mission of Mercy every day millions of children struggle to survive in the midst of extremely difficult circumstances.
* 100 million are abandoned and survive on streets of large cities
* 31 million are orphans whose parents were victims of armed conflict
* 11 million have lost one or both parents to AIDS
* 9 million will die this year from disease, mostly of preventable causes
You can’t help them all, but you can give the gift of a brighter future to one child in need!
When you sponsor a child, you provide:
* educational opportunities
* health screening and medical attention
* nutritional supplements and food
* social development
And most important, your sponsored child will have the opportunity to experience the love of Jesus and grow into a caring Christian adult. “How could we not be involved?” says Wagner.

Delirious? To Release History Makers: Greatest Hits
Following its farewell US tour, the UK-based, RIAA Certified Gold-selling, GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award winning band Delirious? releases its History Makers: Greatest Hits CD Nov. 6 worldwide and Nov. 17 in the US on Kingsway (Survivor) with EMI CMG Distribution. Known as the forerunners of the modern worship movement and as one of the industry’s best live bands, Delirious? is saying “farewell” throughout the US with a final, two-night event at the Dallas Convention Center Oct. 23-24. History Makers: Greatest Hits is the definitive Delirious? recording, featuring the songs that inspired a generation of worshippers to live life “out loud,” and that continue to be sung today throughout the world by literally millions of people every week. Included in this collection are such genre defining modern worship classics as “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever,” “Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble,” “Majesty,” “My Glorious” and “Shout To The North.” As the songs traveled across continents providing the soundtrack for Sunday morning church services, Delirious? was delivering its message to millions of fans through thousands of electrifying concerts in auditoriums, theatres and churches worldwide. And that message was always challenging its audiences to be “history makers,” which the band defines as people who look beyond their own needs to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. “The Delirious? story was only ever about responding to whatever it was God was doing through music that abandoned itself to Him,” says the band members collectively as they call a close to the Delirious? journey while staying ever committed to be history makers in God’s story, carrying individually His soundtrack with them.

Tal & Acacia Music On TV
New music from sister duo Tal & Acacia will be prominently featured tonight during ABC’s hit primetime drama “Private Practice.” The ABC network’s placement of the song “Drifting Away” follows last week’s iTunes spotlight of the duo’s track “ClearView,” as its notable Discovery Download selection. Both songs appear on the duo’s debut album titled Wake Me, released at iTunes on Oct. 6. The album skyrocketed up the iTunes charts hitting Top 5 Christian Albums, Top 20 Pop Albums, and broke into the Top 100 Overall Albums. The recent iTunes review of the duo’s song “ClearView,” embraces the buzz-worthy track, saying, “The award for ‘song that sounds like it belongs in an iPod Commercial’ goes to the talented sister duo…”. Tal & Acacia’s music receives further promotion following “Private Practice” this week with a feature on the iTunes Facebook Fan Page, launching on Friday, Oct. 16. The spot includes a digital stream of “Drifting Away” and will reach over 2 million fans. The duo—sisters Tal & Acacia—grew up in Portland, Maine, and first began songwriting and playing guitar in their teen years, while the family spent an insightful year in Russia with the Salvation Army. Now, in their early twenties, Tal & Acacia aim to create songs that wake listeners and refresh the soul. Musically, Tal & Acacia bear resemblance to such acts as Feist, Norah Jones, Imogen Heap and Sixpence None The Richer, and credit songwriting inspiration from artists like Keith Green and Stevie Wonder. The quirky pop sound of Tal & Acacia’s debut album, titled Wake Me, is a breath of fresh air—defined by catchy choruses—and girded in joy. Produced by Monroe Jones (Ginny Owens, Chris Rice, Third Day, Caedmon’s Call), Tal & Acacia’s Wake Me is distinctly rich and infectious, and intuitively embraces the clash between the principled, spiritual inner self and a confusing, glittery outer culture.

We have to start acting now on climate change. There is literally no time to waste,” says Foreman. The game will launch in late October at theclimatechallenge.org. Hello Hurricane, Switchfoot’s first studio album since 2006’s Oh! Gravity, which debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200, acknowledges life’s storms while managing to find an element of hope in them. Centricity Music Launches The Bethlehem Skyline Tour
Centricity Music will launch its second annual holiday tour in support of their highly popular Christmas project, Bethlehem Skyline. So far, seven dates have been announced with additional bookings forthcoming. Currently, the tour launches on December 5th and ends December 20th with stops in Minneapolis, Detroit, St. Louis, Omaha, Green Bay and Wilmington, North Carolina. Centricity artists to be featured on the tour include; Downhere, Jason Gray and Lanae’ Hale. The concert combines a fresh blend of Christmas classics with original compositions for an intimate evening celebrating Christ’s birth. “The guitars are tuned, the scarves are on, the alpine air is cold, the mugs are warm, life is good and God is best,” says Jason Germain of Downhere. “As we are soon to undertake our second run at a full blown Christmas tour, I’m looking forward to the buzz and spontaneity this type of performance can generate in the Centricity ‘family’ atmosphere. It seems like everyone kind of lets loose a little more which enables us to take some more risks with instrumentation and stage banter, as the community element of our music shines through when we are celebrating together. It’s just fun. I’m also looking forward to the sincerity this can bring to the more introspective songs. Come on out. It will be a toast to the maker of all good things. It’s Christmas!” Labelmate Jason Gray chimes in, “One of the things I love most about Christmas is how it can wake up a sense of childlike wonder in even the most scrooge-like among us. And for those of us who long to return to childlike faith, there’s no better way to get there than to return to the manger. I’m grateful to be joining my friends Downhere and Lanae Hale again – they’ve become like family and it will be good to spend another Christmas with them. I hope they get me something good!” Upon its release in 2007, Bethlehem Skyline generated tremendous response from Christian press and radio, with over 60 reporting stations (including the AC, INSP and CHR formats) playing one or more songs from the project. The album also introduced “How Many Kings,” the hit song for Downhere that peaked at #4 on the Christian Adult Contemporary chart at Radio & Records. Jim Epperlein, Program Director for XM 32 The Message exclaims, “How Many Kings by Downhere is destined to become a Christmas Classic. It’s that GOOD!” And Titletrakk.com says, “A skyline can be defined as a kind of fingerprint of a city, as no two skylines are alike. To experience a fresh blend of classic carols and original compositions, follow the star to Bethlehem Skyline.”
