A vehement patron of Christian black metal, Marble Tomb has shared a lyric video for their latest release, “As the Angels Behold,” off their debut album, Dawn of the Vertical Flame.
According to Marble Tomb’s hivemind — an artist known only as E.O.S. — the band was created in 2020 from the ashes of a former musical project in an effort to dedicate any and all music to Christ. Several songs were even re-written for Marble Tomb’s debut album.
The record features several allied guest musicians, including independent artists like DC Mills (Vials of Wrath).
“[We] believe aggressive infiltration of the Black Metal scene as a whole is the best way to take the fight directly to the demonic elements in spiritual warfare. When the true warriors Christian black metal stand triumphantly upon the heap of charred remains that once was Satanic black metal, what lies beneath our feet will be blacker than the darkest starless night.”
Dawn of the Vertical Flame is now available digitally on Bandcamp, and Marble Tomb shows no sign of slowing down. Fall 2022 already sees the band writing for a 2nd album release, likely to arrive in early 2024.
