South Carolina rock band Islander released a music video for the title track of their brand new album, It’s Not Easy Being Human. The song is a natural next step in the band’s sonic journey, mixing deeply personal songwriting with loud, infectious production.
Directed and edited by vocalist Mikey Carvajal, and produced by Plastic Magic Media, the music video features Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf), as well as a number of the band’s fans.
Carvajal has this to say about the song:
“We know that this life isn’t easy, and as much as we’ve all heard the saying, ‘People are dealing with their own struggles that we may never know about,’ we want to actually apply that knowledge into choosing to be good to one another. It’s as simple as the title says… ‘It’s Not Easy Being Human’.”
The new album features guest spots from Korn, I Prevail, Underoath, P.O.D., Bad Brains, Zao, Lacey Sturm, Fire From The Gods, Hyro The Hero, and Living Sacrifice, rounding out a star studded lineup.
The band is hitting the road to support Norma Jean, as well as playing some headline and festival dates. All dates are listed below and tickets are now available.
