Today, HM is proud to premiere the new single and music video from Texan metalcore crew Lift The Curse, “Tidal Wave.”
Comprised of Jon Yadon Jr. and Ryan Hegefeld, Austin rock duo Lift The Curse fuses hard rock tones, filthy breakdowns and veracious melodies. Anchored by the longtime friends’ inherent chemistry, the band marries influence from across metal, rock and pop.
Yadon Jr. tells us more about the new track:
“’Tidal Wave’ is ultimately a song about hope and never giving up. The chorus sums it up well: ‘If you’re feeling lost, sing this song with me. It will shine a light. A hope that you can see. Tidal wave, carry me. Take me home to tranquil seas.’ We hope you enjoy our new song!”
The duo cut their teeth as two thirds of former project, TrineATX, and in April 2022, they introduced Lift The Curse with the release of debut single “Rise With The Flames.”
The band released a quick-fire string of singles throughout the second half 2022, with the likes of “Take Me Under” and “The Color Brave” offering a window into a heart of a project that puts songwriting front and centre; alternative rock intonations, pummeling riffs and unforgettable hooks all sitting at the core of Lift The Curse’s soundscape.
The band’s bountiful output of new music culminated in the release of January’s debut album Rise With The Flames, with the new single coming as another treat for fans of blistering breakdown and soaring melodies.
