Today, HM is proud to premiere “Too Far Gone,” the new single by Pennsylvania-based metalcore band If Not For Me. A fan-favorite staple in Pennsylvania’s emerging metalcore scene, the East Coast outfit smartly juxtaposes face-melting riffs with massive melodies on the new single.
Determined to push the boundaries of their sound, If Not For Me teamed up with producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland of the legendary Atrium Audio (August Burns Red, Erra, Polaris, From Ashes To New, Like Moths To Flames) to produce upcoming, 11-song LP Eulogy, set to release February 25, 2022 via Theoria Records.
We spoke with vocalist Patrick Glover about the track:
“’Too Far Gone’ is about becoming so complicit in an unhinged mental state that you almost don’t even want to pull yourself out of it. I often find comfort in familiarity, whether or not I’m in a safe and healthy place. It’s about being so stuck and stagnant that you feel as if you can’t pull yourself out no matter how hard you try, so why even bother? This is one of those songs on the record where I pretty much just wrote exactly what I was feeling in my own head at the time.”
If you like what you hear, you can pre-order Eulogy today, and follow If Not For Me on Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify.
