Jamie Grace, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter who is appearing as part of Women of Faith’s popular “Revolve Tour,” has been signed by Gotee Records, helmed by Joey Elwood and multiple GRAMMY ® winner TobyMac. Gotee Records’ will launch Jamie Grace’s debut Hold Me e.p. digitally on February 22, with plans for a full project release in fall 2011.
“Every couple of years, I get a true desire to find an artist and dig in to try to help them develop songs, find the right producers and introduce them to the world at large,” explains multi-platinum selling recording artist TobyMac. “Jamie Grace is a great fit for Gotee Records for a lot of reasons. She writes, sings and plays her own music. She has a style that can’t be put into a typical label box—a dash of reggae, a dash of folk, a dash of hip hop. I’ve said it a million times, ‘If we’re every going to be a shining city on a hill, we have to be diverse city.’ Jamie Grace is part of that diverse city. She’s such a natural, beautiful next step for our industry.”
Produced by Christopher Stevens (TobyMac, Sanctus Real, Mandisa), the
Hold Me e.p. will be available for physical release exclusively on “The Revolve Tour” as well as the
Gotee Records’ webstore and via digital retail outlets on February 22. The debut single, “Hold Me,” which features TobyMac, will be distributed to CHR radio this week. Additional tracks include a cover of the dcTalk song “Into Jesus,” a song titled “One Song At A Time” produced by Arch Nemesiz and featuring GabeReal of the DiverseCity Band and “Holding On,” a ballad that was written by Matt Hammitt of Sanctus Real, TobyMac, Cary Barlowe (co-writer on Lady Antebellum’s No. 1 song “American Honey”) and Jamie Moore (producer of TobyMac’s “City On Our Knees).
Jamie Grace will join the likes of Britt Nicole, Hawk Nelson, Group 1 Crew and others as a part of the spring 2011 “Revolve: Dream ON!” tour. The two-day weekend event for teen girls features both inspirational speaking and music. Jamie Grace will be featured as both a speaker and a performer on the tour.
