To Nights Like This Tour – Pt. 1

The line had just begun to wrap around the building at Sunshine Studios for the first part of the ‘To Nights Like This’ tour, and continued to grow until the doors opened. Fans piled in at 6 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month, collectively amped up for a really good show. The music began right away, wasting no time with two opening bands to kick off this incredible night full night of pure, unaltered rock n’ roll.

Above Snakes was the third act to take the stage. Despite a personal loss, they remained committed to the tour and delivered an incredible, energetic set.

Moon Fever was up next. Their fearless frontman — and I do mean fearless — Triston, left everything he had on the stage. One minute he was stage left, then stage right, then climbing the stage… It was honestly hard to keep up with him, but no one was complaining. His unpredictable stage presence helped foster an unforgettable experience. Toward the end of their set, being the last night of this tour…why would a dinosaur NOT join them on stage?

Otherwise — a personal favorite — took the stage next. We were lucky enough to celebrate frontman Adrian’s birthday, so of course, I had to bring him something sweet. During their set, the band lit up the candles and had Adrian hold it proudly while the crowd sang “Happy Birthday.” He was speechless, and it made for another moment we’ll all remember.

According to the band, this tour has been amazing, but not without its obstacles, so I wanted them to feel extra love from all of their fans! During their signature last song, “Soldiers,” all of the other touring bands joined Otherwise on stage to sing and play along. This special moment — complete with a lot of smiles, hugs, silliness, and love — made for the perfect photo op. All that was left to say from our standpoint was, “Well done.”

Our headliners for tonight came prepared to rock with their fans. In true Adelitas Way fashion, they came out full force with their hits, “Sick,” “Bad Reputation,” “Notorious,” and so many more. For those who haven’t seen them in a while, it was great reminder of why we fell in love with their music and with who they are as a band.

If the first leg of the tour is any indication of what we can expect for part 2, beginning April 28, it’s safe to say the memories will only get better from here.
