BATTLE OF THE BANDS CONTEST RETURNS
The “Rock & Worship Roadshow” will venture out on its 4th annual tour this spring with another all-star bill featuring MercyMe, Tenth Avenue North, LeCrae, Hawk Nelson, Disciple, Sidewalk Prophets and Rend Collective Experiment. The line-up will also include special guest speaker, and MercyMe frontman, Bart Millard.
The tour will kick off January 26th in Biloxi, MS and visit 25 other cities across the U.S. entertaining crowds in Chicago, Minneapolis, Colorado Springs, Dallas, San Diego, Las Vegas and more.
Admission prices will be the traditional $10 at-the-door, making it an affordable event for the whole family!
The tour will once again team up with local radio stations in select markets to encourage listeners to participate in their 2012 Battle of the Bands contest. Local artists can submit their music and YouTube videos to their local radio station to be considered for the competition. From there, the station narrows down contestants to a final three. The music from the top three finalists is then passed along to the Roadshow artists who pick the winning act to perform a two-song set, 45 minutes prior to the beginning of the “Rock & Worship Roadshow” in their city.

About LeCrae:

About Sidewalk Prophets:
As one of Christian music’s fastest rising new bands, Sidewalk Prophets debut record, These Simple Truths, has scanned more than 135,000 copies since releasing in August 2009. About Rend Collective Experiment:
An inherent desire for something spiritually substantive in our increasingly artificial world is exactly what brought together a movement of friends known as Rend Collective Experiment. United by a common purpose, these 20-somethings hailing from Northern Ireland began exploring the intersection between God, life and community.
As band leader Gareth Gilkeson shares, “Rend was a student movement representing numerous churches, and the ‘collective’ grew out of that. The songs came from an organic environment, searching after the heart of God. We wanted to reflect what God was doing and teaching us, and offer that up for the rest of the world to hear.”
Rather than sharing what they learned along the way in lofty sermons and heady theological books, the group instead found its unique voice through the universal beauty of music collaboration. And that unfussy, unforced approach to making art is resonating with others following their debut album Organic Family Hymnal and their new and appropriately titled Homemade Worship By Handmade People.
