“The band continues to shine” –Absolute Punk
Hailing from Arkansas, Deas Vail–Wes Blaylock – Vocals, Keys, Laura Blaylock – Keys, Synth, Wes Saunders – Drums, Andy Moore- Guitar and Justin Froning- Bass are looking forward to their self titled CD release now slated to street on October 11 on Mono vs Stereo with distribution through Sony Red, CD to be available at all retail and online outlets and vinyl available at select outlets.
Helping the band on this album is first-time producer, Relient K guitarist and Mono Vs Stereo A&R Matthew Hoopes who says “As a part of Mono Vs Stereo, I am very excited and optimistic about our deal with Sony Red. I believe in Deas Vail and in this record very much, and I am confident that this will be an amazing opportunity for the band”
“I am excited to announce that we have a special opportunity to partner with Sony Red on the release of our new album. We are very excited about their involvement and we hope that you as our fans, whose support we could NOT do without, will be excited as well!” states Deas Vail singer Blaylock
As the follow-up to Deas Vail’s last CD Bird’s & Cages the new release is a 12-track voyage about life, freedom, love, hope, fear and transformation. There is indeed a positive uplift in the sweeping contours of the opening tracks, as ‘Desire’, ‘Sixteen’ and ‘Summer Forgets Me’ provide a powerful and emotional kick start to the record. As Blaylock pushes his sky-scraper of a voice up, over and around jangling guitars and head-bobbing grooves, he articulates beautifully poetic and eloquent metaphors.
