mewithoutYou will be hitting the road on the nationwide Our Cashew Princess of the Swirling Marble Tour this summer with Rubik and David Bazan and Rocky Votolato on select dates. There are currently 23 scheduled stops starting June 2nd in St. Louis, MO and culminating June 29th in Kalamazoo, MI.

The tour comes after mewithoutYou’s latest release, IT’S ALL CRAZY! IT’S ALL FALSE! IT’S ALL A DREAM! IT’S ALRIGHT which stands as another daring adventure charted by frontman Aaron Weiss, guitarist Michael Weiss, bassist Greg Jehanian, and drummer Rickie Mazzotta. The band’s fourth studio album, produced by Daniel Smith (Danielson Familie) and Brian McTear (Mazarin, Matt Pond PA) has been described by Absolutepunk.net as “one of the most ambitious albums of 2009” and “a beautiful work of art which shouldn’t be missed,” by Alter The Press.

Dates for the Our Cashew Princess of the Swirling Marble Tour:

+ with Rocky Votolato
* with David Bazan
Rubik appears on all dates

mewithoutYou were awarded mtvU’s Left-Field Woodie over an illustrious pack that included M.I.A. and The Arcade Fire in 2005. Even now, the band remains in left field, but one that continuously draws to them more eccentrics, seekers, and lovers of original music. IT’S ALL CRAZY! IT’S ALL FALSE! IT’S ALL A DREAM! IT’S ALRIGHT follows previous albums BROTHER, SISTER (2006), CATCH FOR US THE FOXES (2004) and A–>B LIFE (2002).

mewithoutYou is Aaron Weiss (vocals), Michael Weiss (guitar), Greg Jehanian (bass) and Richard Mazzotta (drums).

Now, their new normal has provided them with a moment to "be adults" for once. We recently sat down with the McElroys to talk more about the spiritual reality within life, how soon they'll be able to release new music, and how koalas are their new normal.

Between the White Noise

My Epic's last full-length album came out in 2013; despite a number of EPs along the way, the band's dedication to their craft, lyrical approach, and unyielding approach to let the music come naturally has made them critical darlings. Now, they're learning to interact and feed a rabid fanbase in between albums and in a new normal.
