Christian rock band Jupiter Wind has a lot to be thankful for this spring.
The band was chosen to record the theme song, “He’s Alive,” from the film production Thirty Three, The Story of Hope, set to star Passion of the Christ lead actor, Jim Caveziel, in a reprise of his dramatic role as Jesus. Now in pre-production, the film follows the steps of Jesus in the His 40 days on earth between the Resurrection and Ascension. An original new song written by Grammy award winning record producer, Dale Oliver (Casting Crowns), Jupiter Wind’s studio performance of He’s Alive for the film was produced by Oliver, who has also signed the band for management through his own firm, OTM.
Jupiter Wind has additionally just completed the video production of their performance of He’s Alive—a promotional asset expected to get broad national attention both in the lead-up marketing of the Thirty Three Hope film release and the promotion of both a single and a new Jupiter Wind album now being readied for release. He’s Alive is also the title and a featured track on the band’s forthcoming album, Alive, and will be the subject of a major campaign at radio.
The video performance of He’s Alive by Jupiter Wind is scheduled to be shipped in April in DVD format to more than 12,000 national youth pastors through the outreach services of Interl’inc, leaders in the subscription supply of specialty direct mail Christian materials, music, and youth ministry resources to churches.
Jupiter Wind, comprised of leader/vocalist Jack Eason, bass guitarist Matt Hawkins, Shane White, on rhythm guitar and Heath Rankin, on lead guitar, formed in 2008. They base in Greenville, South Carolina and each bring to the group strong individual worship backgrounds and a shared passion to reach young audiences.
Thirty Three, The Story of Hope will be unveiling a new website on mid-April, and encourages those interested to visit and join the community of pre-launch support and prayer. Full details of the production and multi-tiered resources, including the book, electronic press kits, and various media assets supporting the project are available online.
