Have you ever wondered what it is like to go through the grueling process of recording a full-length record?  Well, Tennessee’s Southern-fried heavy metal outfit, The Showdown, is giving fans the opportunity to catch a behind-the-scenes look at the their recent recording session in Nashville, as they record their fourth studio album, Blood In The Gears, to be released on Solid State Records on August 24th.  Head to:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Npjt9Rv_s to see the band cook various Southern delicacies and enjoy a rare Tennessee snowfall, as they track drums for the forthcoming record.  The Showdown will post more behind-the-scenes footage each week, so stay tuned for updates.

Founded in 2003 by current members, David Bunton and Josh Childers, The Showdown literally came roaring out of the gate with the monstrous, yet spiritually gripping debut, A Chorus of Obliteration, in 2004.  Despite numerous line-up changes, The Showdown has prevailed as one of Christian metal’s longstanding veteran acts.  With several high profile tours under their belt, including a run on Ozzfest in 2007, and treks with Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Norma Jean, As I Lay Dying, and more, The Showdown is set to once again crack up the throttle on Blood In The Gears.
