Over the past four weeks, The Showdown, Nashville’s finely tuned heavy metal outfit, has brought fans into their home studio – courtesy of a small handheld camera – as they tracked drums, guitars, and bass for their forthcoming full-length record, Blood In The Gears; now it is time for vocals, the final piece of The Showdown’s well-oiled machine that will be unleashed on August 24th via Solid State Records. Join vocalist David Bunton in the vocal booth, as he puts it all on the line for tracks such as “Man Named Hell” and “Heavy Lies The Crown”, and even meet the band’s creepy surprise producer who swings in for an unexpected visit! Band friend and Destroy Destroy Destroy vocalist, Chris Bazor, also drops by for a guest vocal appearance on the track, “Graveyard Of Empires”. Blood In The Gears was recorded and produced by The Showdown’s own Jeremiah Scott (bass) at his home studio, Anthem Productions, in Nashville. Founded in 2003 by current members, David Bunton and Josh Childers, The Showdown literally came roaring out of the gate with the monstrous, yet spiritually gripping debut, A Chorus of Obliteration, in 2004.
