It has been five years since Sufjan Stevens has put out his ground-breaking record Illinois. The second record in his 50 states series. We all where wondering how, could, and would Sufjan really pull this feat off. The years passed, and Sufjan confessed that the whole “states” project was a promotional gimmick that he never intended to finish. Now five years, one B sides record, a Christmas record, a movie soundtrack, and an EP later we get a brand new full length record called The Age of Adz’. This record seems to be a collection of Sufjans styles, from the electronic sounds in Enjoy Your Rabbit, to the smooth folk in Illinois.

The record came out Oct 12th on Sufjan’s label, Asthmatic Kitty.
