The release of Saosin’s self-titled album changed the trajectory of post-hardcore and emo culture and remains a mainstay in the collections of scene aficionados almost two decades later. The album, originally released on September 26, 2006, debuted on the Top 25 album charts and earned the band a certified gold hit with the single “You’re Not Alone.”
Now, almost exactly 18 years since its original release, Smartpunk Records is re-releasing the iconic album on vinyl with a special run of pressings featuring the band’s own personal touches. This re-release is the first and only band-certified re-release since the original release and pressing in 2006. The band will be touring and playing the album in its entirety in 2025.
When asked about the band’s choice to re-release the album with Smartpunk Records, Saosin bassist Chris Sorenson comments:
“We have always wanted to add a personal touch to a vinyl release of this record, this both honors and updates the original, as well as makes available the music we made nearly 20 years ago.”
The album is now available on vinyl via Smartpunk Records.
