ABC30 is Fresno’s local affiliate, and Action News Sports Director Tommy Tran holds a weekly segment called “QB&A,” where he talks with Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. During the segment, Tran asks the typical football questions, but he also posits inquiries from fans, including one on this particular bit on Carr’s favorite band.

“Am I assuming that For Today has been playing at any time in that road trip, either down there (in ) or back up here to the Bay Area?”

“You’re exactly right. For Today has been blasting the whole way, so much so my wife expects it now. ‘You gonna put it on?'”

They start talking For Today around the 2:39 mark.

For Today, pictured in their Star Wars Halloween outfits, recently wrapped their album release tour after releasing their sixth studio album, Wake, this fall.

Becoming Comrades

Now, their new normal has provided them with a moment to "be adults" for once. We recently sat down with the McElroys to talk more about the spiritual reality within life, how soon they'll be able to release new music, and how koalas are their new normal.
