Today, War Prayer (Bandcamp) is proud to premiere the first single, “Misguided,” from their upcoming EP of the same name. The Minneapolis-based hardcore band used to be known as Atrocities, and the new EP represents their first music in the new direction. We spoke with vocalist Matt Orr about the track’s message:

“‘Misguided’ is a release of bitterness toward a system that uses religious establishments to fund closed door agendas. Establishments that damage the lives and well being of innocent people that look for acceptance within organized religion.”

The new EP is scheduled to drop on Friday, Oct. 7.
