Swedish death metal stalwarts Pantokrator are back with a new single and music video, “We the People.” The band, formed in 1996, will be releasing Marching Out of Babylon on Jan. 29, and “We the People” is the first single from the new release. Marching Out of Babylon marks the first release from the band since 2014’s critically-acclaimed Incarnate.
The song “encompasses the essence” of what the Swedish death metal veterans are about, the band wrote to HM.
“‘We the People’ is a kick in the groin to the systems that hold us down and a call to arms to all of us that stand up for democracy. It’s all draped in headbanging rhythms, Latin phrases, and Martin Luther King samples.”
Preorders for the release are available now at Nordic Mission, including a pretty impressive double-fold poster that accompanies the vinyl release.
