A River Runs Thru It

Today, HM is proud to premiere the new music video for “Fire and Brimstone” from metalcore quartet A River Runs Thru It. The song represents the band’s journey throughout the past seven years, which included four lineup changes. Producer Kevin Newland helmed the track.

The video ended up taking three shoots to complete:

The video was incredibly fun to make and insanely stressful. … The first (shoot) we thought we would be able to shoot across town in the woods and then have time to drive the exact opposite direction. Unfortunately, we misjudged our time management and didn’t end up making it to the second shoot site (until four hours later). … We ended up shooting a week later. We basically turned it into a barbecue and had a great night. Then we just had a couple of reshoots to clean up the video.

If you dig the band, you can check them out on Instagram.

Heaven's Metal: An Oral History of the Genesis of Christian Metal

Heaven's Metal

HM presents an oral history of the beginning of Christian metal music, featuring Guardian, Tourniquet, Holy Soldier, Whitecross, and, of course, Stryper.
