Multi-platinum, GRAMMY Award-nominated rock band Skillet gave an incredible performance for The Aftermath Tour at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia with guests, Adelitus Way and Eva Under Fire. Along with some fan favorites like “Feel Invincible,” “Hero,” and “Monster,” Skillet performed their new hit single, “Surviving The Game,” off of their upcoming album, Dominion, slated for release January 14. The track became available on September 15, and the music video amassed 1 million views in the first week.
When asked about the new tour and new album, John Cooper replied, “It feels incredible to be back on the road doing life again. We just wrapped up recording our new album, Dominion, and can’t wait for the fans to hear the rest of the songs. Dominion is about the celebration of freedom, a liberation from fear—to be who we want to be, say what we want to say, believe what we want to believe. In some ways, it’s a reminder of the God-given rights that we were born with.
“It’s time to regain some sort of control over our lives and not be a slave to fear. I hope this record is going to make people feel empowered, inspired, uplifted, and want to rock their faces off!”
Performed live, the new single hits hard and fast with a metal vibe with an explosion of energy, much to the delight of Skillet fans. Skillet unleashed an incredible show, giving fans a dose of hope, encouragement, and sheer grit to face the future riding out the pandemic storm.
