Today, Emery bassist and vocalist Devin Shelton shared a jazzy rearrangement of “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters. The track features a brushed drum groove, beautiful chord exploration in they keys, tasteful bass melodies, and perfectly understated vocal harmonies.
He has this to say about the cover:
“I remember in college when I first heard ‘Everlong.’ It was the first time I recall hearing a big rock song that had such beautiful chord voicing over an uptempo beat. It felt so melodic and driving and hooked me instantly. That whole album changed the way I thought about rock music.”
The song is now available wherever you stream music.
