Pennsylvania hard rock quartet Execution Day has unleashed a music video for their brand new single, “Consumed.” For their latest release, the band also enlisted the vocal services of Dayseeker frontman Rory Rodriguez.
Vocalist Dylan Dively has this to say about the collaboration:
“The entire time we were writing this track, we knew it had a vibe that would fit Rory’s voice perfectly. We met him at a show we opened years ago and we’ve kept in touch since, and when we sent him the track, he obviously had the same vision for the song as we did. He knocked his part out of the park.”
Modern and anthemic, “Consumed” holds onto the band’s metalcore roots while continuing their push into the world of mainstream rock in a way that will soon make them unavoidable. Driven by the experience of introspection and self-awareness, the track and video paint a picture of real-life combat between inner demons.
“It’s really about personal growth,” continues Dively. “And realizing that you have basically hit rock bottom, and the only place to go from there is up — to get better, and make the changes necessary to get better.”
