Forging a new path of human connection, Tyler Simpson (Fight the Fade) has embarked on a new sonic journey, teaming up with guitarist and producer Jed Stark (Lastwatch) and drummer Chad Wunderle (Theody) to create Coping Method. And now, the band has released their debut single, “The Creed.” Self-mixed and mastered, Coping Method’s first single is a raging blend of electronic rock and raw metalcore.
We spoke with Simpson about the new track:
“We are thrilled to reveal our very first release entitled ‘The Creed.’ It is a song about the metaphorical impacts of forceful thinking and the unacceptance that you belong in the circles you have been forced into. It is never too late in life to take a stand on what you believe to be true and sometimes it takes moving in your own direction to accomplish that. The creed does not define your future, past, or present.”
According to the band, Coping Method is a manufacturer of manuals on how to deal with the various issues of life. Its major focus is the mental aspect. How do you cope when faced with betrayal? Depression? Anxiety? Grief? The band has crafted a series of releases meant to provide comfort, grace, and ultimately, solace to anyone who may listen.
