Over the last year, Joshua Canode of Convictions has been sharing vocal covers on social media, revealing a hidden talent and setting the stage for his new solo emo rock project, Goneforgood. Today, he released his debut single, “Hurt.”
Back in 2021, Canode said this about experimenting with his voice:
“When I haven’t been working on new Convictions, I’ve been trying to learn how to sing — but as an emotional outlet to help with my mental health. I started learning last October. The past year has been an endless depression, and this has been so therapeutic for me.
