The female-fronted The Rose Hill have released a lyric video for “Offender,” the first single off their upcoming album. The track gets better as it metals along. Vocalist Beth Durbin has this to say about the song:
This song is called “Offender” and it’s about how I encountered sexual abuse at a young age and how it didn’t take over my life. I wrote this to give others hope and to help them find their voice. There’s a line in this song that says, “You didn’t get the best of me, I’m more than your mistake” and it’s basically a declaration of where I stand with what happened to me.
A Voice for the Innocent is the organization we partnered with in making this song to raise awareness on sexual abuse. It will be available for free download from us and placed on a compilation A Voice for the Innocent will release in October.
As Durbin mentioned, you can download the song for free from SoundCloud below.
