Flyleaf’s new look is taking them to Pledge Music, a Kickstarterish, quasi-Christian place to raise money. One of the smaller but notable differences is that Pledge Music doesn’t show you how much the project needs; it only offers you the band’s percentage for the amount they need. Currently, they are at 19%.
Let’s do some math. The minimum bid is $10 (you get the record when it comes out and access to exclusive updates). As of writing, they’ve had 251 people pledge. Assuming all 251 bought the minimum bid of $10, they would be at $2,510. If we just assume this is equivalent to the aforementioned 19 percent, that means they’re going to need your help getting this album to right around $10,000 to get this album made.
They’ve got about a month and a half to make it happen.
