Abilene, TX has produced promising young hardcore punk band Starve, which recently signed to OnTheAttack Records and features former members from Revivalist. Today, HM is premiering the new single from the quartet, “Buzz Kill.” Drummer Tanner Coker spoke with HM about the new single:
“‘Buzz Kill’ is about the one-percent. As a band, we are angry that we live in a culture that glorifies money and power when so many in this world face poverty and oppression. We wanted to express this in a fast, heavy and to-the-point way, as well as leave room for interpretation. ‘Buzz Kill’ is a taste of what’s to come with Starve and we are excited to move forward as a band.”
