Hailing from Brighton, UK, Lake Malice is a fast-growing force in alternative metal. Today, the band released a music video for their debut single, “Blossom,” via Dreambound.
Shot by Loki Films (Sleep Token, Hacktivist, Viscera), the music video is a rush of visual artistry that levels up to the song’s wide range of high-energy guitar riffs, dynamic melodies, electronic experimentation, and instantly catchy vocals.
We spoke with the band about their new track:
“’Blossom’ was the very first track we collaborated on together. We were in the middle of a full lockdown when we started the project and had never met in person. We both haven’t made music in so long. It’s like we spent so much time thinking of how creativity and making music affected our lives, and how working with the right people really makes a difference too. The song talks about how, at the end of the day, a bad experience can help you learn more about yourself, and to actually ‘blossom’ creatively. It’s a long and daunting process, but without it, we wouldn’t be here making the music we are now.”
“Blossom” will be available to stream worldwide August 26. If you like what you hear, keep up with Lake Malice on Facebook and Instagram.
