Inspired by and titled after his unique, avant-garde gear — a Teuffel Birdfish guitar and Ep2 Echoplex tape echo unit — Misha Mansoor’s latest solo Bulb release, “Echo Teuffel,” explores a new, but recognizable side of the Periphery guitarist. Mansoor’s latest single boasts moody, expressive songwriting and ethereal tones, dancing seamlessly in and out of grooves that bend all concept of time.
According to the 3DOT Recordings vizualizer premiere, Mansoor shares more about how his latest track came to life:
“This one was all about building a vibe and preserving it. It took a little time for me to get everything just right with this one, but I’m genuinely happy with how it turned out. Fun fact: Soloing in 5 is hard, so it took some time to get the phrasing right. A lot of my go-to tricks and lines just wouldn’t work.”
Bulb’s debut solo album, Moderately Fast, Adequately Furious, arrives on July 16 and is now available for pre-order.
