Today, HM is proud to premiere the new music video for Rapture’s single, “Convictions.” The Los Angeles-based hardcore band formed in 2014, heading into the studio in 2015 to record their debut EP, Trials. OnTheAttack Records signed the band shortly thereafter.

We spoke with Rapture’s vocalist Richard Haro about the song:

“The song is about staying true to our convictions as followers of Christ — hence the name “Convictions” — even when the world around us wants us to stay silent about what we believe, especially in the hardcore scene where what we stand for isn’t always welcomed. But we’ll continue to spread our message because we love people and want to see them experience the love that we’ve experienced through Jesus Christ.”

The band released their newest EP, Perseverance, in August; “Convictions” comes from the EP. Persevere¬†was recorded with Rollie Ulug at Bright Lights Studios in Santa Ana, California.
