Hailing from Berlin, Germany, post-hardcore trio Future Palace is back with the video for the new single “Paradise.” The track manifests a profound musical development and a massive sound. For the first time, shouts and down-tuned guitars expand the sonic and emotional repertoire of the band, conjuring up a furious temper.

Vocalist Maria has this to say about the song:

“For me, screaming vocals are one of the most emotional ways to express misery and anger. When I started to write the lyrics for ‘Paradise,’ I was unsure whether I really want to realize them in this way or if I was even able to. But, eventually, the decision to do it helped to achieve a completely different emotional depth.”

Following the band’s 2020 debut full-length, Escape, the single follows the band on a search for a proverbial paradise amid the simultaneous fight against depression. The contrast that defines the lyrics is expressed in the video, directed by Pavel Trebukhin (Imminence, Landmvrks, Novelists FR), showcasing the changing emotions represented in the song — the mournful atmosphere of a funeral service meets the literally staged paradise.
