One of the best metal(core) albums of 2017 is Dark Flag by the Southern California band, Phinehas. Following up two amazing full lengths and two EPs all on Red Cord Records plus a full length in 2015 on Artery, the band strikes back hard with their catchiest, anthem-inducing and head blasting new album, Dark Flag. If you haven’t heard it yet then drop what you’re doing right now and give it a listen on your favorite digital network (or on CD/Vinyl). This is shaping up to be a definite contender for favorite heavy album of the year (by me, of course).

Below, check out the latest music videos for “Burning Bright” and “Hell Below.”

HM presents an oral history of the beginning of Christian metal music, featuring Guardian, Tourniquet, Holy Soldier, Whitecross, and, of course, Stryper.
