OH, SLEEPER’S ‘Stand Your Ground’ Game For iPhone/iPod Touch Available Now

High-intensity side-scrolling iOS game marks the first foray into releasing a full-blown game for OH, SLEEPER and Solid State Records
Includes 8-bit versions of OH, SLEEPER songs

Solid State Records and OH, SLEEPER are pleased to unleash “Stand Your Ground,” a full-fledged and immersive game for iPhone and iPod Touch. Available now via the App Store, the release marks a new foray into the fusion of music and gaming with a side-scrolling arcade-style game based on the storyline of OH, SLEEPER’s latest album, Children of Fire.

As players fight through multiple levels of enemy forces, summoning allies and collecting power-ups, they’ll be treated to a unique soundtrack – “retro” 8-bit versions of OH, SLEEPER’S songs.

Not to be confused with a promotional gimmick, “Stand Your Ground” is a fully realized and vast gaming experience that will appeal just as much to existing OH, SLEEPER fans as it will with gamers not yet familiar with their music. Packed with a rich story and multiple game mode, “Stand Your Ground” will provide re-playability even for those that have conquered the main game itself.
Complete with a deep storyline and a rich cast of characters, “Stand Your Ground” will wow fans of games like Swords and Soldiers, Plants vs Zombies, Patapon, and even Golden Axe.
“We are so pumped to release this project to the masses,” explains OH, SLEEPER
frontman Micah Kinard. “This adventure allows the gamer to step into the boots of a warrior, pick up his axe, and traverse through the storyline of our latest album, Children of Fire. We are always looking for ways to allow our listeners to delve deeper into our concepts and we think ‘Stand Your Ground’ is the perfect way to do this. Plus, who doesn’t love video games!?
OH, SLEEPER has been a steady force in the world of heavy music, touring relentlessly with the likes of BRING ME THE HORIZON and FALLING IN REVERSE and, in the process, building a devoted fanbase passionate enough about the band to emblazon themselves with OH, SLEEPER logo and lyric tattoos. The band’s 2011 album, Children of Fire, debuted at 142 on the Billboard 200 and garnered critical praise for both the band’s lyrical creativity and musicianship.

While the band is no stranger to potential app buyers, with Children of Fire hitting the #1 album on iTunes Metal chart and mainting Top 10 status months after the release, the debut of “Stand Your Ground” marks a new and interesting creative milestone for OH, SLEEPER.

OH, SLEEPER is currently touring the US in support of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA.

Between the White Noise

My Epic's last full-length album came out in 2013; despite a number of EPs along the way, the band's dedication to their craft, lyrical approach, and unyielding approach to let the music come naturally has made them critical darlings. Now, they're learning to interact and feed a rabid fanbase in between albums and in a new normal.

Comrades 2020

Becoming Comrades

The trio of Comrades – husband and wife Joe and Laura McElroy alongside drummer John Gaskil – is used to living in a van and touring the country. Now, their new normal has provided them with a moment to "be adults" for once. We recently sat down with the McElroys to talk more about the spiritual reality within life, how soon they'll be able to release new music, and how koalas are their new normal.
