August Burns Red To Tour With Underoath and Emery
Newly minted metalcore frontrunners AUGUST BURNS RED have just announced a remarkable North American tour with labelmates UNDEROATH and EMERY, extending from 11/22 to 12/17. The cross-country jaunt comes on the heels of the band’s #24 debut on the Billboard Top 200 with their equally artful and devastatingly heavy third album, Constellations. Upon the album’s release, Revolver praised the band as “one of the genre’s brightest hopes … as bone-crushingly heavy as it is catchy,” while Alternative Press called ABR “the rare metal band who can do something besides relentlessly kick ass. Though they do that well, too.” Until recently, AUGUST BURNS RED were known best as an anomaly in the underground metal scene. Clad in flip-flops and Phillies T-shirts, the unassuming Lancaster, PA boys broke every rule of modern metal posturing, along the way converting the metal populous, fan by fan. In July, with the release of Constellations, AUGUST BURNS RED set up permanent camp in the world of the Top 40. The album debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at an impressive #24, selling more than 20,000 copies in its first week. Constellations also nabbed the #1 New Music Release spot on iTunes the day it was released, and entered the Top 100 at #6, nestled between a Michael Jackson best-of album and the movie soundtrack for a certain wizard named Harry. It’s all a bit bizarre for a band that hasn’t sung a note in its entire career. They’re brutal as hell; they’re super-young, they play like they own the genre. And with Constellations, AUGUST BURNS RED have proven that they’re ready to begin their reign. After spending seven weeks in the Billboard Top 200, Constellations is knocking on the 50,000 copies sold mark, a striking number that complements the fact that the band’s catalog has now sold in excess of 200,000 copies.

Stryper Kicks Off 25th Anniversary Tour In Boston
Groundbreaking Christian rock band Stryper kicked off their 25th Anniversary Tour on Friday night, September 11th, at the House of Blues in Boston, MA. Making the occasion even more special, the band was joined on stage by Tom Scholz and Gary Pihl of the legendary band BOSTON for a performance of “Peace of Mind.” BOSTON founder, guitarist and songwriter Tom Scholz is featured on Stryper’s cover version of “Peace of Mind” on the recently released Murder by Pride (Big3 Records/SONY). All four of Stryper’s original members – Michael Sweet (vocals/guitar), Oz Fox (guitar), Robert Sweet (drums) and Tim Gaines (bass) – will take to the stage to perform their hits and fan favorites, as well as songs from Murder by Pride. Hawk Nelson Halt Pancake Abuse
Today the pop rock foursome, Hawk Nelson, premieres their debut single music video from forthcoming album LIVE LIFE LOUD on MySpace.com. The video can be viewed here. Hawk Nelson released LIVE LIFE LOUD this Tuesday, September 22nd on BEC Recordings / Tooth & Nail Records. The fun-filled sound that fans have come to know and love is perfectly evident on the debut single “Live Life Loud,” a sis-boom-bah opening anthem well suited to the band’s get-this-party-started attitude. The album, LIVE LIFE LOUD, strikes a wiser balance than ever between the group’s two core strengths: kicking out amped up jams and bringing social and spiritual depth to them. This fourth studio project features a wide range of co-writing colleagues–tobyMac, Matthew Gerrard, and Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch–also testifies to Hawk Nelson’s true artistic versatility.

Inhale Exhale Gives Fans First “Touch” of New Album
Cleveland, OH metal torchbearers INHALE EXHALE have begun the final three-week countdown to the release of their career-defining third album, BURY ME ALIVE, out October 6 on Solid State Records. As early acclaim for the record starts rolling in, the band is giving fans their first taste of what The Interlude calls its “new and improved sound” by streaming the first single from the album “Did You Ever Have a Touch To Lose?” for free on its MySpace page. With its ferocious riffage, pleading melodies, snarling screams and frantic guitar leads that nearly go careening off the rails, “Did You Ever Have a Touch To Lose?” illustrates in no uncertain terms the sea change that INHALE EXHALE’s songwriting has undergone since the release of 2008’s lauded I Swear…. “We chose ‘Did You Ever Have A Touch To Lose?’ as the track to debut first because we felt it was a good representation of where the band is heading,” explains guitarist and principle songwriter John LaRussa. “We also felt it would make for a good video, due to the things it deals with – hope, pain, accepting the mistakes people do around you or to you.” After releasing two rapid-fire albums in just over two years, the members of INHALE EXHALE enjoyed a brief but well-earned respite in early 2009, during which babies were born and marriages were performed. Now, armed with one of the year’s most vital, explosive, relentlessly creative metalcore offerings in BURY ME ALIVE, they’re ready to take their place in the modern metal pantheon. “We are the most excited we’ve been since the creation of INHALE EXHALE,” LaRussa says. “This is the first record that we all really sit and listen to and enjoy 100%. We love our other two albums, but this is the album we’ve always wanted to write.”

Ajalon Releases New Album
The new Ajalon CD, This Good Place, is now available from ProgRock Records. You can hear audio samples here. Ajalon will be performing a song from the new CD on October 17th at the Mix Lounge in Seattle as guests of the acclaimed Parallels the music of Yes tribute! This Good Place marks a huge step forward for Ajalon. This is a CD that will feature some great musical moments as well as stellar performances from both the band and some awesome guest players such as Paul Bielatowicz and Fred Schendal to name just a couple. Listeners will find this a much more allegorical album lyrically than the first two releases. The thematic concept on this CD addresses the depravity and selfishness of the human condition and how it has lead to the downfall of our character. But the story is undergirded with the concept that it is never too late to turn from those ways to find something greater within ourselves that ultimately leads us to This Good Place! The CD will feature 7 tracks with a running time of approximately 60 minutes. There is one instrumental track on the CD and one epic song about 20 minutes in length. Much of the album features brand new material developed over the last three years. There are also a few previously unreleased classic Ajalon songs that have been reworked and newly recorded, mixed in as well. This is a very different sounding album that finds its’ place in the current mainstream of Progressive Rock music while maintaining some of that trademark Ajalon sound.
Track Listing:
1) Love Is A Dream
2) Nickels and Dimes, Marbles and Stones
3) Not Man
4) Abstract Malady
5) Lullaby Of Bedlam
6) Redemption
7) This Good Place
