Castro Takes Time in New York City Between Winter Jam Dates for

Media Visits and a Special Event and “American Idol” Viewing Party

to Benefit MusiCares’ Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

Singer-songwriter Jason Castro launches his debut Word Entertainment album, Only A Mountain, today. Produced by Matt Bronleewe, Ben Glover and David Garcia, the album features 11 tracks all written or co-written by Castro and includes the hit single, “Only A Mountain.” In a recent interview with Billboard.com Castro explained, “I think a good portion of the album has been directly influenced or inspired by family life, and things that have gone on the past few years… I hope they inspire people in their own journeys.’”

Castro, currently in the midst of a busy Winter Jam tour, hits New York City this week for a number of media visits to celebrate the album. Today, he stops by “The Better Show” to perform his current single “Only A Mountain” (to air nationally January 21) and SiriusXM’s “The Message.” Wednesday is packed with visits to FOX News Radio, ABC’s “What’s The Buzz” and “Access Hollywood.” At 7 pm, Castro kicks off “An Evening with Jason Castro Benefiting MusiCares’ Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund” with an acoustic set featuring music from Only A Mountain.  Immediately following the performance, fans can watch the Season 12 “American Idol” premiere with the former contestant.
