Today, HM is proud to premiere Seeing Things’ latest single and music video, “Shapeshifter.”

Pushing the boundaries of musical expression, “Shapeshifter” delivers a gut-wrenching and exhilarating experience. With relentless down-tuned guitars, thundering drum grooves, and aggressive vocals that cut through the soul, Seeing Things takes listeners on a tumultuous journey through the darkest corners of human nature and pulls them through to the other side: to clarity.

Capturing fear, anxiety, terror, and despair, the band reflects on current social issues of apathy and injustice in their new track. Their approach? Confronting these issues directly and encouraging listeners to face their own inner demons, question their identities, and examine the masks they may wear in their daily lives. Through its dark and introspective lyrics, “Shapeshifter” strikes a chord with those who have experienced the pain of deceit and serves as an anthem of empowerment.

Lead singer Erich shares more:

“The song serves as a call to embrace authenticity, urging individuals to shed the facades they have crafted to conform to societal expectations. It ignites a fire within, encouraging self-reflection and personal growth as listeners confront their own flaws and confront the demons that lurk beneath the surface.”

Ever since its inception, Seeing Things was forged to bring a fresh new sound to the stage. The band emits a distressing energy of down-tuned mania fueled by ever-present paranoia. With their raw, unfiltered energy and their unyielding commitment to their message, the European five-piece invites you on a journey of self-discovery and social awareness in their latest release.

“Shapeshifter” will be available everywhere July 7, 2023.
