After nearly a year long break from playing the clubs, a successful trek through Europe and hitting the studio to start production on their summer 2011 CD release Family Force 5 is excited to give their fans a sneak listen of what’s to come as they embark on TOURtantula with special guests Stereo Skyline, Swimming with Dolphins and Since Forever, dates kick off on April 15.

“We’re like five Pamplona bulls anxiously pacing back and forth before being released to terrorize the streets.  We’ve meticulously endured countless nights of writing, recording, and bullying our new music, and the five of us are chomping at the bit to test these hype anthems and chill bangers in the clubs and at the festivals.  It’s been the most emotionally intense year of our lives, and that energy is about to get channeled into the most earth-quaking, hipster-shaking live show anyone has ever seen”

–explains guitarist Derek Mount

As an added bonus a limited amount of attendees in each market will be lucky enough to purchase the golden ticket to the ARACHNOCOUSTICA pre-show event that includes an acoustic set by Family Force 5, a meet-n-greet with the band and an autographed VIP laminate.  Later on in the evening the band will plug-in and give the crowd a taste of what they can expect from FF5’s upcoming summer CD release, this tour will be the first time the new tracks will be premiered in front of an audience.   Also available at these shows will be a limited edition 3 track EP featuring all new songs.

Later this summer see the band on Van’s Warped Tour 11 from July 20 – August 14.

Between the White Noise

My Epic's last full-length album came out in 2013; despite a number of EPs along the way, the band's dedication to their craft, lyrical approach, and unyielding approach to let the music come naturally has made them critical darlings. Now, they're learning to interact and feed a rabid fanbase in between albums and in a new normal.

HM contributor Andrew Voigt recently sat down with Justine Jones to learn more about the band, marrying your bandmates, and their outside shot at touring with Rammstein.

Comrades 2020

Becoming Comrades

The trio of Comrades – husband and wife Joe and Laura McElroy alongside drummer John Gaskil – is used to living in a van and touring the country. Now, their new normal has provided them with a moment to "be adults" for once. We recently sat down with the McElroys to talk more about the spiritual reality within life, how soon they'll be able to release new music, and how koalas are their new normal.
