While CHEVELLE are preparing their return to the road after a string of sold out radio shows and tours nationwide, the alternative hard rock trio has announced their explosive first single Face To The Floor”–off their recently released album HATS OFF TO THE BULL (Epic Records)–has dominated the Active Rock chart at the #1 spot for the last 13 weeks. On the heels of the wildly successful track, which Dan Aquilante of the New York Post called “a powerhouse head-banger that would make the Occupy Wall Street protesters mosh without pepper-spray” (12/6/11), the group will impact radio February 28 with their powerful new single “Hats Off To The Bull.” “The rolling, thunderous title track ‘Hats Off to the Bull’ is all explosion, all out full frontal rocksinew, sweat, and a sweet thrashing of instruments,” Buzzine.com has raved. “Guitars chug, a larynx is torn, and a mad ballet unfolds in the spiral.” (December 2011).

The Chicago group will launch headlining tour dates with Middle Class Rut and Janus starting Friday, February 24 in Grand Rapids, MI. The trek will stop at Irving Plaza in New York City on Wednesday, February 29 and cross the U.S. before wrapping in Oklahoma City, OK on Friday, March 16. See the full itinerary below.

CHEVELLEPETE LOEFFLER (Guitars, Vocals), SAM LOEFFLER (Drums) and DEAN BERNARDINI (Bass, Vocals)–recently released HATS OFF TO THE BULL (Epic Records) which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #19 and is being hailed as one of their finest albums. It is propelled by “Face To The Floor”–a hypnotic and grinding riff, which rails against the corporate corruption of Bernie Madoff and Wall Street and is a testament to the band’s songwriting prowess and eternal knack for a hit.

HATS OFF TO THE BULL continues to earn high marks from the media. Bob Doershuk of DRUM! wrote, “On their sixth full-length album, ‘hard alternative’ band Chevelle continue in the vein they always have: taut, intelligent, multi-layered rock led by Pete Loeffler’s trenchant vocals. On Hats Off To The Bull, however, The Chicago trio swings for the fences in more ways than one. Loeffler’s sense of outrage on this album is incandescent at times” (January 2012). THE DAILY JOURNAL (Chicago, IL) added, “…insanely catchy choruses delivered in patented Chevelle style…Pete Loeffler’s voice is the true driving force behind Hats Off to the Bull‘s sound, lingering on the border of screaming without isolating the casual listener” (12/22/11). Caleb Hicks of AUDIOPINIONS.NET noted, “Hats Off To The Bull is pure genius, and possibly their most ambitious work to date. Lead singer Pete Loeffler’s dark and deep lyrics are brilliant Musically, Chevelle has taken a grand leap forward with this album. They experiment with instruments and traverse sonic landscapes that they have never traveled before…With Hats Off To The Bull, Chevelle have once again proven that they are the kings of hard rock” (12/1/11). Liz Ramanand of LOUDWIRE.COM hailed the album as “an impressive collection of hard-hitting anthems and melodic tracksa solid release filled with heavy riffs, intriguing vocal layers and crashing drum patterns that show Chevelle’s maturity as a band while maintaining the progressive sound that their fans have embraced over the past decade” (12/8/11).
