SPARROW RECORDS ANNOUNCES THE SIGNING
OF NEW WORSHIP BAND BELLARIVE
Debut Album, The Heartbeat, Releasing June 19;
First Single And Music Video For “Taste of Eternity” Now Available At iTunes
Sparrow Records is proud to announce the signing of Bellarive, the six-piece worship band from Orlando, Florida. Their debut album, The Heartbeat, is slated to release on June 19, 2012 and was co-produced by Bellarive and Joshua Silverberg (Luminate, Abandon) and mixed by Allen Salmon (Gungor, Building 429). Bellarive’s first radio single, “Taste of Eternity,” is now available on iTunes and packaged with the song’s music video. The video made its debut last week at Relevant Magazine’s RELEVANT.tv. Check out the music video here.
After connecting at their church in 2009, Bellarive’s six members – Sean Curran (lead vocals, keys), Melissa Mage (vocals, percussion), her brother Mike Mage (programming, vocals, guitar), Zach Glotfelty (lead guitar), Josh Luker (bass, percussion), and Kenny Werner (drums) – felt like kindred spirits right away. It wasn’t until a couple of years later that they realized God’s calling for them was to become a band.

“We were leading worship a lot together but hadn’t really looked past that,”Curran expresses, who is also the band’s principal songwriter. “God started placing these song ideas on our hearts so we started meeting up once a week just to kind of figure out what we should do with this.”
Soon after recording an EP, The Being Human Project…Start Listening, Bellarive – meaning “beautiful river” –signed a deal with Sparrow Records. “We were resonating with our friends from Sparrow because it seemed they wanted to partner with us for the right reasons,” Curran continues. “They saw God in what we were doing, and they wanted to be a catalyst for that work.”

The members of Bellarive hope that the music of The Heartbeat pulls the listener closer to the depths of God’s heart, which is why even their song sequence has a intentionality to it. “When we were writing these songs, they definitely all seemed of a set,” shares Curran. “Each one revealed a little bit more of who God is to all of us, a different glimpse of His glory or love and getting deeper and deeper into His heart.”
The genuine passion Bellarive displays has been observed by many, including Student Life’s President, J. Roger Davis. “Bellarive is a band you should know about,” Davis shares. “They are not just musicians, but are missionaries on and off the stage. I have loved their music and heart from my first interaction. Student Life is glad to partner with them in Kingdom advancement and thrilled for their new full album coming out this summer.”
