Levity Records and JCTV have announced a live taping of the new musical BROKEN, to take place Friday, December 3rd at 7:00 P.M. at Trinity Music City (1 Music Village Blvd. in Hendersonville). The original production will be taped for broadcast before a live studio audience, and features an all-star cast of well-known Christian music artists including Callann Lane, Nate Sallie, Darrell Vanzant and Manic Drive frontman Shawn Cavallo.
BROKEN, which will premiere on JCTV in 2011, is a dynamic and moving new musical based on the one-act play “Broken Heart” that has been used by youth ministries, church and para-church organizations around the world. From widespread use by Young Life at its youth resorts all over the country, to television in Germany and a women’s ministry in Australia, the play has been viewed by an estimated audience of more than 4 million worldwide.
BROKEN was developed into a musical by Callann Lane (http://www.CallannLane.com), who saw so much of her own story reflected in the storyline of the main character of the play that she knew it was something she wanted to introduce to a wider audience.
Tickets are FREE and the taping is open to the public. All ages are welcome. Seating is limited, so advance registration is recommended. Register for seats at http://new.evite.com/services/links/FINJ7BXX7S.
